DOROTHY E. MACCHIRELLA age 76 of 4 Elm Park, Dansville, New York, died peacefully at her home on Thursday July 19, 2012. She was born the daughter of Ora and Hazel (Smith) Covey on July 19, 1936 in Albion, New York. She married Joseph Macchirella on December 5, 1953 in Mount Morris, NY. Prior to her retirement she was employed as a Switchboard Operator at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. She was a member of St. Mary’s Church in Dansville. She enjoyed crocheting, watching Tennis and was a Cleveland Browns Fan.

She is survived by her 5 children Lorene (John) Bickford of Caledonia, Steven Macchirella and John Macchirella both of Florida, Michael (Vicki) Macchirella of Ohio and Carrie Keene of Springwater. 14 Grandchildren Jay (Nicole), Jodi (Peter), Katie (Travis), Angela, Cassie, Mandy, Joseph, Elicia, Libby, Allie, Abby, Cheri (Craig), Rhiannon and Hannah. 12 Great Grandchildren. Sisters-in-law Josephine Argenta, Mary (Dominick) Peraino, Carmella Palma, Teresa Regoni, Sally Marble, Angie Guarino and Jennie (John) Koch. Several Nieces, Nephews and cousins and many dear and loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1978 and 1 brother and 3 Sisters.

Friends may call Sunday from 1- 5 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where prayers will be said Monday at 9 am followed by a Funeral mass at St. Patrick’s Church at 9:30.
