Alida Barron LaDelfa's life story peacefully ended after ninety-nine years when she was called to heaven on February 12, 2026.

Alida was born on June 15, 1926, the daughter of Arthur and Mildred Barron of Nunda.  She is survived by her children, Robbie Wright, Jon (Dianne Bryant) LaDelfa, and Lynn (Joe) Muscarella.  She had six grandchildren: Kristin Young, Karyn (Paul) Deagle, Jenna Wright, Kelly LaDelfa, Erin Wright, and Stephen (Joy) Muscarella. In addition, she had four great-grandchildren: Sawyer, Stephanie, Weston, and Louis.  She was predeceased by her loving husband of 71 years and her four beloved siblings.

Alida loved her family more than anything.  She was thoughtful, kind, generous and always encouraged family and friends in their endeavors.

She was a devout Catholic and helped at St. Patrick's Church as a long-time member of the Rosary Society.  She helped prepare the church for masses, decorate for religious occasions, and plant flowers in the outdoor flower beds.  Alida was known for her baking talents, especially pies. Whenever the church had a bake sale, her pies were sold in advance.

The outdoors was a special place for Alida.  She walked outside almost every day enjoying the fresh air and gardens along her route.  In younger years, she could often be seen mowing and gardening at home.  Her children remember how she made raking leaves fun when they were little.

She and her husband, Bob, owned Folts Jewelry Store in Mount Morris for 30 years.  They worked alongside each other in this successful business, and it offered the opportunity to meet and enjoy the people in Mount Morris and the surrounding communities.

Alida loved golfing and was a member of both Livingston Country Club and Keshequa Club in Sonyea for many years.  She also really enjoyed trips to the casinos in Batavia and Canandaigua where the slot machines were her favorite.

She had a special love for animals from her days growing up on a farm.  She loved all the pets the family had over the years and instilled that love of animals in her family.  Alida was especially fond of her dogs Beau and Babe, and her most recent cat, Tilly Too.

Alida's energy and life force will be greatly missed but long remembered.

No prior calling.  Funeral Mass will be held Monday July 20th at 10:30am at St. Patrick's Church, 46 Stanley Street, Mount Morris, NY.  Reverend Daniel Condon officiating.  Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Morris, NY.
