ANTHONY LOUIS MANFRE

Our beloved Anthony Louis Manfre (February 06, 1980, age 45), passed away unexpectedly on February 23, 2025.  He was surrounded by his loving wife, Kelly Cranfield Manfre, his mother Gayle Manfre and his father Gregory Knight.

Anthony grew up in Mount Morris, New York and most recently resided in Williamson, New York.  He served as an Airborne Active-Duty serviceman at Fort Bragg, North Carolina from 1998 to 2001.  He earned an honorable discharge.  In the years that followed he received his PhD as a Marriage and Family Therapist from Nova Southeastern University in St. Petersburg, Florida.  He then worked several years in a therapeutic capacity serving his fellow servicemen and their families at the St. Petersburg Veterans Center.

Anthony was an avid hiker.  He felt most at peace in the woods or on a trail.  He solo hiked the Appalachian Trail.  Several years after that journey, after meeting his soul-mate Kelly, they successfully completed the 2000+ mile trek together.  They spent much of their free time camping and hiking in the Adirondacks and other woodland locations.

Anthony was a kind-hearted and generous husband, son, and friend.  His dry sense of humor and wit was a quality that made him even more endearing.  He was once asked by someone if he was a 'tree-hugger'.  He replied, "No, I just listen to them".  He will also be missed by his gentle and sweet service dog, Hondo.

He leaves behind many heartbroken family members, friends and colleagues.  A private family burial has been planned, however a Celebration of Life, open to all that knew him, will be planned for a future date.
