ARTHUR F. BARNES age 91 of 2561 Kingston Road, Leicester, New York, died Saturday August 27, 2011 at the Livingston County Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, New York. He was born the son of Artemus and Marie (Burleigh) Barnes on January 25, 1920 in Corning, New York. He married Virginia O'Dell on May 29, 1940. He enlisted in the Navy during World War II. Prior to his retirement in 1982 he was employed in the Maintenance Department at St. John Fisher College in Rochester. He was a member of the Leicester Presbyterian Church and the East Rochester American Legion and VFW.

He is survived by loving Wife of over 61 years Virginia. 3 Children Linda (Nelson) Strong of Ionia, Richard (Virginia) Barnes of North Carolina and Gail Courtney of Florida. 7 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his son Allen Barnes.
