BARBARA J. BARNHARDT age 80 of Cohocton formerly of Leicester, died Thursday January 17, 2019 at her home. She was born the daughter of Glenn and Zylphia (Sager) Harrington on June 15, 1938 in North Hornell, New York. She married James Barnhardt on July 26, 1958. Prior to her retirement she worked as a Registered Nurse for over 43 years for Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea and had also been an ombudsman for Livingston County. She was a member of CSEA

She is survived by her 2 loving daughters Rita (Bill) Hoover of Cohocton and Evie (Scott Zietz) Cook of Nunda. 11 Grandchildren and 12 Great Grandchildren. 4 sisters and 5 brothers. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband James in 2000 and son James Jr. in 2002.

Friends may call Saturday Jan. 26 from 11 - 2 pm at the the New Life Baptist Church, Route 20A, Leicester where services will be held Saturday at 2 pm. Pastors Thomas Street and David Ritz officiating. Interment Leicester Cemetery. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be made to Alzheimers Association or Care First of Steuben County.
