BEN M. BELEW age 100 of Fiddler Road, Mount Morris, died on Saturday September 28, 2019 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, NY. He was a Veteran of the Navy during World War II from 1942 - 1945. He was born the son of Carson and Rozzie (Kinningham) Belew on January 30, 1919 in Campbell, Texas. He married Ruby Colligan on August 31, 1963. Prior to his retirement he was employed at Allis-Chalmers in Syracuse for 36 years. He also worker at the Mt. Morris Jubilee Grocery Store and the Mt. Morris Rite Aid. He was a member of the American Legion and the Food Service Union

He is survived by 6 children Donna Ray of Texas, Robert Colligan of Olean, Ruth (Pete) DiSalvo of Mt. Morris, Thomas (Cindy) Colligan of FL, Suzanne (Ernest) Kallenbach Jr. of Olean and Ronnie (Vicky) Colligan of Nunda. Many Grand and Great Grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his wife Ruby in 2010, Daughter Carolyn Rodgers and 3 sons Bobby and Benny Belew and Gary Colligan in 1994, 2 grandchildren Joseph DiSalvo in 1986 and Lisa Colligan in 1990.

Friends may call Saturday October 5 from 12 - 2 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where Funeral Services will be held following calling hours at 2 pm.
