BERTHA VANALLEN CAITO, age 97 of Mount Morris died Thursday March 12, 2020.  She was born on August 22, 1922 in Warsaw, New York.  Predeceased by her husband Joseph Caito in 1990 and parents Henry and Myrtle (Adams) VanAllen.  Survived by her Son Michael (Cachelle) Caito of Rochester, Brother Russell (Shana) VanAllen and family in Rexburg, Idaho.  Several nieces and nephews.  Many dear and loving friends including Gary and Joann Valentino who helped Bertha in her Golden Years.

She moved to Mount Morris in 1962.  She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Mount Morris where she was a lay Eucharistic Minister.  She worked for 10 years at P.A. Mallory in Warsaw, Champion Products in Perry and Geneseo and at Mount Morris Central School in the Cafeteria.  She was a former President of the Mount Morris Italian-American Club, Mt. Morris Senior Citizens Group and Triad of Geneseo. She was Mt. Morris Senior Citizen of the year in 2001.  Bertha loved to knit scarfs, ski bands, lap robes and slippers for catholic charities.
