BERTHA G. "BERT" PERITORE; age of 90 114 Chapel Street, Mt. Morris, died suddenly Tuesday, January 22, 2019, at Buffalo General Hospital in Buffalo, NY. She was born the daughter of Willard and Edith (Degone) Barcomb on February 8, 1928, in East Hampton, Massachusetts. She married Charles Peritore on December 7, 1946. Prior to her retirement in 1983 she was employed as a clerk at Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea for over 20 years. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, NY State Retirees and CSEA.

She is survived by her four children: daughters Sharon Peritore of Mt. Morris, Dale (Richard) Cenzi of West Henrietta, Jean Levey of South Livonia, Charles J. Peritore of Florida, son-in-law Bruce Levey of Mt. Morris; seven grandchildren: Rick Cenzi, Joe (Kristy) Cenzi, Capri Cenzi Mull, Shane (Jennifer) Levey, Shanel Levey, AJ Levey and Johnathan Peritore; great grandchildren: Gianna, Natalie, Paige, Joey, Vincenzo, Anthony, Lucas, Ty, Ria, Maia, Cameron, and one on the way; two sisters: Gladys Bigness of Weedsport, Beverly Rucker of Florida; one brother: Gary (Mitzy) Barcomb of Florida and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 72 years, Charles on December 21, 2018; siblings Leo Barcomb, Gertrude Benware, Mildred Burgess, Leatrice Barcomb, Valerie McGowen and Donald Barcomb.

Bert will always be remembered with love for her gentle spirit, sweet smile, her infectious quiet laughter, thinking of others first, saying like it was and, of course, her joy from playing the slots.

Friends may call on Sunday, 1:00-4:00 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel St., (Route 408), Mt. Morris. The Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, 10:00 am at Patrick's Church.
