CARL W. LUTZ age 85 of 144 Main Street, Mount Morris, NY, died Saturday April 28, 2012 at his home. He was born the son of John William and Mildred (Colley) Lutz on April 28, 1927 in Caldwell, Kansas. He married Evelyn Koch on September 20, 1947. Prior to his retirement in 2001 he co-owned and founded the Villa Carlo Restaurant in Mount Morris and then in Geneseo, New York. He also worked for 35 years as a insurance agent for Prudential Insurance in Babylon, NY before relocating to Mount Morris, NY. He was a veteran of the Navy during World War II from 1945 to 49. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris and the Mount Morris American Legion Post. He was a former member and past president of the Mount Morris Rotary Club.



He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 65 years Evelyn. Four Children; Chriss Cowan of Colorado, Carla (Leon) Cox of York, Ellen Carlock of Mount Morris and Carl (Mandy) Lutz of Avon. Ten Grandchildren; Lisa, Matthew, Samuel, Julia, Jayme, Emily, Jimmy, Ethan, Hannah and Ryan, Four Great Grandchildren; Cole, Chase, Avalyn and Finnegan. Brother Duane and sisters Waunita and Mary June. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends. He was predeceased by his twin brother Calvin, sister Joy and brother John.



Friends may call Tuesday May 1 from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where prayers will be said Wednesday May 2 at 9 am followed by a funeral mass at St. Patrick's Church at 9 :30 am.
