CARL W. STROBEL age 97 of North Chili, New York, went to be with the Lord on Saturday June 29, 2013 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris. He was born the son of Leon and Bessie (Mellon) Strobel on December 15, 1915 in Leicester, New York. He served in the US Navy during World War II serving from 1943-1945. Prior to his retirement he was employed as an accountant for nearly 10 years at Zweigles Hot Dogs in Rochester.


He is predeceased by his wife Mary (Johnson) Strobel and all of his brother's and sister's. He was the last Strobel still standing. He is survived by his 2 children; Bonnie (Rick) Abbott-Jamison of Ocala, FL and Terry (Terry) Strobel of Bergen. 2 Grandchildren; 1 Great Grandchild; and many nieces, nephews and cousins


No Prior calling hours. Memorial services will be held Friday at 2:00 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris with Rev. Harold Scott officiating. Interment will be in Leicester Cemetery with full Military Honors. In lieu of Flowers, Memorials may be made to the Pearce Memorial Free Methodist Church 4322 Buffalo Road, North Chili, NY 14514.
