Chan M. VanDorn age 60 of 10 Center Street, Nunda, NY, died Monday December 1, 2014 at the Livingston County Center of Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, NY. He was born the son of Dwight and Jessie (Gilbride) VanDorn on November 28, 1954 in Nunda, NY. Prior to his retirement in 1992 he was employed as a heavy equipment operator at Mendon Pipeline for nearly 20 years. He also owned and operated the Vil Edge Restaurant in Nunda.

He is survived by his wife Cindy, 3 children Rachelle (Paul) Fanaro of Wyoming, Chan (Dianne) VanDorn of Nunda and Adam VanDorn of Dalton. 6 grandchildren Alex, Trinity, Cody, Kirsten, Dominic and Cooper. 2 Brothers Larry (Judy) VanDorn of Mendon and Kirk VanDorn of Nunda. 2 sisters Sharon Edwards of North Carolina and Marilyn Walker of Attica. Many Nieces and Nephews. The family would like to thank the Staff at the Livingston CNR including the staff on Lilac Avenue. A special thanks goes to Nunda Lumber for all their support of Chan over the years.

Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm at the Oakland Wesleyan Church, 1519 Route 436, Oakland, where funeral services will be held Friday at 11 am. Pastor Paul Palmer officiating. In lieu of flowers.
