Charles C. "Chuck" Wood age 70 of Dalton, died Saturday January 27, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. Chuck was born January 28, 1947 the son of the late Vernon and Nancy (Field) Wood, and in 1967 he married Lois (Gelser) Wood. He was a Film Coater retiring from Kodak in Rochester after 33 years of service. Chuck was an avid hunter over the years who enjoyed shooting, especially Trap Shooting, and was a member of the Springwater Rod & Gun Club. But, most of all he will be remembered by his family as a Great Father, Grandfather, and Father-in-Law.


Chuck was predeceased by a son; Shawn Wood in 1985 and a sister; Coleen Kennedy. He is survived by his wife Lois Wood at home, his children; Christopher (Amy) Wood of Webster, NY Jennifer Bruce of South Carolina, and Scott (Rebecca) Wood of Mt. Morris; 5 grandchildren; Abigail and Olivia Bruce, of South Carolina, Scottie Wood Jr., Lucas Wood and Connor Wood all of Mt. Morris, his brother's and sister; Vernon (Ede) Wood, Dennis (Sharon)Wood, Kit (Loraine) Wood, Shannon (Joanne) Wood, Kathy (Kirk) Douglas, Dana Wood, Jamie (Elaine) Wood, Daniel Wood and Bradley (Tammy) Wood, several nieces and nephews.


Friends may call Wednesday from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Where Funeral Services will be held at the conclusion of calling hours at 7:00 pm, with the Rev. Paul Palmer officiating.
