DALE B. LAZAR of Geneseo, New York, died at the age of 73 on Saturday January 20, 2024 surrounded by loved ones due to complications after a lifelong battle with Multiple Sclerosis.  Dale was born on December 5, 1950 to parents Harvey and Alice (Dean) Scranton in Brockton, Massachusetts.  Throughout her childhood Dale was drawn to animals in large part due to her gentle, warm spirit.  She took great joy in taking care of and riding horses and raised Himalayan cats, whom she showed in local competitions.  Through a shared love of horses, Dale met the love of her life, Aaron, whom she married on July 10, 1981.  Throughout her adult life, Dale was a committed wife and mother who was always available to lend her ear to others.  She took her greatest meaning in life from time spent with her children and grandchildren.  Aside from being a mother and grandmother, Dale cared deeply for the Multiple Sclerosis community, was an expert in weaving and caning chairs, was an avid reader and music lover.

Dale is survived by her loving husband of nearly 43 years Aaron, 3 beloved daughters Jennifer (Gavin) Tyler of Dansville, Melanie Lazar of New Hampshire, Allison Lazar of Geneseo and 8 cherished grandchildren Julian, Gordon, Isabella, Christopher, Luke, Joseph, Emersyn and Logan, 2 brothers Dean (Gayle) Scranton of Massachusetts and Richard (Ann) Scranton of Washington, her dog Biscuit, her cat Romeo, and her many loving friends. She was predeceased by her parents Harvey and Alice Scranton.
