DOROTHY E. (Harkness/ Rappleyea) BRASSIE age 81 of Mt. Morris-Nunda Road, Nunda, NY, died Monday February 20, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She is now dancing in heaven with all the angels, they're having a big party to welcome her home. She was born the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Mack) Harkness on January 3, 1936 in Caledonia, NY. She graduated from St. Mary's School of Nursing in Rochester. Prior to her retirement in 1995 she was employed as an RN for 43 years at St. Mary's Hospital in Rochester. She was a member of the Dalton Assembly of God Church.


She is survived by 2 children Ellen M. (Robert) Benjamin of Henrietta and Harry E. (Susan) Rappleyea of Texas. 4 Grandchildren Robert C., Jonathan, Timothy and Conrad. 7 Great Grandchildren Kevin, Kara, Nathan, Hannah, Emma, Maxx and Leo. 1 brother Earl J. (Carole) Harkness, 3 Sisters Shirley Ellefson, Ruth Kelly and Marcia Barber. Several nieces, nephews and many dear and loving friends.


Friends may call Thursday from 3 - 6 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 6pm.
