ELIZABETH C. "Betty" FLYNN age 101 of Mount Morris, New York, died peacefully on Friday January 16, 2026 at Morgan View Estates Assisted Living in Geneseo, New York.   She was born the daughter of Martin and Anna (Conroy) Cloonan on May 18, 1924 in Syracuse, New York.  Betty graduated from Nazareth College with her Bachelor's Degree in Business Education and then earned her MBA from Syracuse University.  She married Jeremiah "Jerry" Flynn on August 10, 1957.  Betty first was a Business Teacher at West Genesee Central School in Fairmont, NY for 9 years and then taught at Mount Morris Central upon moving to Mount Morris.  Prior to such a move, she was also the Supervisor for Personal-Clerical Training at Carrier Corporation's headquarters in Syracuse. After raising her three sons, Betty chose a different work path when she decided to become a Real Estate Agent for Mack Real Estate in Caledonia for almost 20 years.    She was a faithful and active member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris and St. Luke the Evangelist Parish. Betty volunteered for many organizations including being a member of the Board of Trustees for the Mount Morris Library for 36 years, a Board member for the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts, a Charter Board member of Camp Stella Maris, and a Board member of the Livingston County Cancer Society.  Betty was Named a Volunteer of the Year by the Genesee Valley Council on the Arts in 2000, Mount Morris Senior Citizen of the year in 2003 and was named one of New York State Senate's Women of Distinction in 2009.

She is survived by her 3 sons-William (Mary) Flynn of Glenmont, NY, John (Loretta) Flynn of University Heights, Ohio, and Terrance Flynn of Snyder, NY, and her 4 grandchildren-Kevin J. and Sean P. Flynn of Virginia and Elisabeth B.  and Maria A. Flynn of Ohio.  Betty also was blessed with several nieces, nephews, and dear and loving friends.  She was predeceased by her husband Jerry in 2000, her parents Martin and Anna Cloonan, and her brother John Cloonan.

Friends may call Monday January 19th from 4 to 6 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, New York.  Funeral Mass will be held Tuesday January 20th at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church, 46 Stanley Street, Mount Morris at 10 am.  Bishop Salvatore R.
