EVELYN CHIAPPONE ROLISON age 91 of Mount Morris, NY, passed away peacefully on Monday August 14, 2023 at The Jewish Home in Rochester, NY. She was born the daughter of Dominic and Josephine (Oliver) Chiappone on March 6, 1932 in Mount Morris. Evelyn was a lifelong resident of Mount Morris until she moved to Rochester in 2016. She married Jerry W. Rolison on July 9, 1955. Jerry and Evelyn were co-proprietors of The Mount Morris Shopper, a family owned business that has operated in Mount Morris for many decades. Evelyn graduated from SUNY Geneseo and was employed as an elementary/special education teacher before retiring to raise her family. She was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris.

Evelyn is survived by her sons James (Leslie) Rolison of New York City, John (Melina) Rolison of Mount Morris, and Jerry Rolison of Rochester. She is also survived and was loved by six grandchildren, Lindsay (Kevin) Stone of Caledonia, Justin Rolison of Avon, Jessica Rolison of Rochester, Jeffrey (Jamie) Rolison of Mount Morris, Max Rolison of New Haven, CT, and Adam Rolison of Los Angeles, CA; six great-grandchildren, Olivia, Benjamin and Amelia Stone of Caledonia, Jagger and Jelani Rolison of Mount Morris, and Journey Rolison of Rochester; two nephews and several cousins. Evelyn was predeceased by her loving husband of 60 years, her daughter Janet Rolison, her son Jeff Rolison and her brother Anthony D. Chiappone.

Friends may call Thursday from 4 to 7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street (Route 408), Mount Morris. A funeral mass will be held Friday at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church, Mount Morris.
