EVELYN G. VAN DORN age 105 of Nunda, New York, died peacefully on Sunday December 7, 2025 at her home.  She was born the daughter of John and Marie (Elliott) Gibson on November 7, 1920 in Mount Morris, New York.  She married Kenneth Smith on May 30, 1942 who died in 1969 and then married Robert Van Dorn on November 22, 1976.  Prior to her retirement in 1986 she worked as a Clerk at the Nunda Post Office for over 14 years.  She was a member of the Nunda United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed making crafts, reading and doing jigsaw puzzles.

She is survived by her 3 children Sidney (Judy) Smith of Florida, Ellyn Hotchkiss of Nunda and Dean Smith of Conesus Lake.  5 grandchildren, 8 Great grandchildren and 4 Great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her first husband Kenneth Smith in 1969, second husband Robert Van Dorn in 1992, daughter Connie Mitchell in 2019, Sister Doris McMaster and Brother Mervin Gibson.

No prior calling.  Private Graveside services will be held at Oakwood Cemetery, Nunda, New York.  Carmen Vianese officiating.  Memorials may be made to the Nunda Ambulance Fund or the United Methodist Church of Nunda.  Arrangements by JOHN W.
