Frances A. Hopkins age 77 of Nunda, NY died Saturday November 25, 2017 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born on January 23, 1940 in Sumter, South Carolina the daughter of Charles and Effie Mae (Scott) Parkstone. Prior to her retirement in 1995 she was employed as an Aide for Fingelakes DDSO at the Day Treatment Center in Perry and formerly at Craig Developmental Center in Sonyea for over 26 years. She was a member of CSEA


She is survived by 4 children Pat (Bill) Jensen of Phelps, Sandy (Tony) Colon of Nunda, Jim (Carol) Decker of Nunda and Diane (Patrick) Saxton of Shortsville. 13 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. 1 sister Alice Criscaden of Dundee and 3 brothers Carl Parkstone, Paul (Gail) Parkston and Harry Parkstone all of North Carolina. Many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Jerry Hopkins in 2006 and Sister Mary Bush in 2017.


Friends may call Friday 11 am to 1 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel St. (Route 408) in Mt. Morris where Funeral Services will be held Friday at 1 pm. Interment, Leicester Cemetery.
