FRANCES T. OVERHOLT, age 100, of Leicester, New York, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at the Conesus Lake Nursing Home in Livonia, New York.  She was born the daughter of Jerry and Antonina (Scaletta) Zanghi on September 27, 1925 in Mount Morris, New York. She married Willard (Bill) Overholt on May 14, 1960. She was a former member of St. Thomas-Aquinas in Leicester and attended St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris.   Frances was a loving wife and mother.  She lived to minister to her family, creating a loving home for her husband, her children, and her grandchildren. She loved birds of all types, and her favorite was the cardinal.  Like the cardinal, she was a gentle soul with unsurpassed beauty and strength of spirit, fiercely committed to her family.  Her warmth, smile, and quick wit will be sorely missed.  She was deeply loved.

She is survived by her 2 children Wayne (Ellen) Overholt of Texas and Barbara (Roger) Johnson of Livonia. She is remembered by her four granddaughters Rachael & Ruth Overholt and  Alicia & Sara Johnson, along with several nieces, nephews and dear and loving friends. She was predeceased by her husband of over 65 years, Bill, on July 11, 2025.

Friends may call Saturday August 22 from 10 am to Noon at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, NY where Funeral Services will be held following calling hours at Noon.
