FRANCIS "MOE" GEORGE age 80 of Mount Morris, New York, passed to be with the Lord suddenly on Thursday March 10, 2022 while vacationing in Florida.  He was born the son of Francis and Rosalind (McCormick) George on July 9, 1941 in Mount Morris, NY.  Francis devoted most of his life to farming his family land, but also spent many years working at the Retsof Salt mine and the ARC of Livingston and Wyoming Counties.  He enjoyed playing cards, hanging out with friends and soaking in the Florida sun.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, the Farm Bureau and a social member of the Seymour Chemical Company of the Mount Morris Fire Department for over 50 years.

He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Paul George and his sister Donna Coleman.  He is survived by his siblings Mary Lou Thorne of Maryland, Thelma Moorehead of Webster and Charles (Rebecca) George of North Carolina.  He was also a loving, generous uncle to many nieces, nephews and their children.  Many dear and loving friends.  He will be Forever 39.

Friends may call Friday March 18 from 4 to 7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris.  Funeral mass will be held Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church, Mount Morris.  Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to a Ukrainian Relief Fund of your choice.  Sign the online registry at:
