GERALD L. "Jerry" TURYBURY SR. age 85 of Geneseo, New York, died peacefully on Wednesday March 27, 2024 at his daughter's home in Leicester, New York.  He was born the son of Clarence and Mildred (Barney) Turybury on January 3, 1939 in Warsaw, New York.  He married Joan Martin on July 18, 1958.  He served in the Army from 1959 to 1966 during the Vietnam War.  He worked as an electrician at Akzo Salt in Retsof from 1966 to 1995.  He went on to work as a mechanic for Tyson Chicken in Virginia until his retirement.  He was a member of the Leicester Presbyterian Church.  He enjoyed playing fast pitch softball in Geneseo and York.

He is survived 5 children Lillian (John) Lathrop of Wadsworth, Gerald (Becky) Turybury Jr. of Leicester, Lyle Turybury of Virginia, Colleen (Tom) Frantz of Leicester and David (Sheila Turybury of Pennsylvania.  Daughter-in-law Tracy Bucci of Virginia.  11 Grandchildren and 7 Great grandchildren.  Sister Gladys Beardsley of Cuylerville.  Many nieces, nephews and dear and loving friends.  He was predeceased by his wife of 46 years Joan on October 2, 2004.  He was also predeceased by 2 grandchildren Travis and Mary, 2 sisters Louise and Marie and his brother Clarence "Buster".

No prior calling.  Graveside services with military honors at Leicester Cemetery, Leicester, New York will be on Saturday April 13 at 1pm.   In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Livingston County Hospice or American Cancer Society.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
