HELEN S. SWANSON age 87 of 7014 Begole Road, Mount Morris, NY, died Thursday February 9, 2017 at Nicholas Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. She was born the daughter of Kenneth and Luella (Mayhew) Schumaker on October 25, 1929 in Nunda, New York. She graduated from Nunda Central School. She married David H. Swanson on May 23, 1953. Helen and Dave owned and operated Osage Farms in Mount Morris. She was a member of St. John's Episcopal Church in Mt Morris.


She is survived by her loving husband of nearly 64 years David. 4 children Colleen Swanson (James) Coburn and Jeffrey Swanson both of Mt. Morris, Valerie Swanson (Chuck) Schleigh of Livonia and Stephanie Swanson (Bill) Bemish of Honeoye Falls. Several Grand and Great Grandchildren. 2 sisters-in-law Elaine Opdyke of Arizona and Joan Schumaker of Dalton. Many nieces and nephews.
