HOWARD DONALD ANDRESS age 79 of 39 Market Street, Leicester, NY, died Sunday October 14, 2018 at Nicholas Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He was born the son of Howard and Catherine (DiSalvo) Andress on March 10, 1939 in Warsaw, NY. He served in the New York National Guard from 1957 to 1958 then served in the Air Force from 1958 to 1963 during the Vietnam War. He married Joanne Bonadonna on November 24, 1950. Prior to his retirement in 1993 he was employed by the University of Rochester for nearly 30 years. He was a member of St. Thomas Aquinas Church in Leicester, the York VFW Post and the Good Ole Boys. He dearly loved his family, outdoors sportsman activities and Driving his vintage car in several local shows and parades.


He is survived by loving wife of nearly 58 years Joanne. 3 Children Lorri Schicker and Brenda Andress both of Leicester and Brian (Colleen) Andress of Nunda. 5 Grandchildren Alyssa (Glen) Hoehn, Michael (Sarah Jamison) Welch, Brittany (Jason) Winans, Kaleena and Kole Andress. 1 Great Granddaughter Ariel Winans. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends. He was predeceased by his parents Howard d. and Catherine Andress.


Friends may call Thursday from 2 - 5 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. A. Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 10 am at St. Thomas-Aquinas Church, Main Street, Leicester. Interment Bath National Cemetery at the convenience of the Family. Memorials may be to York VFW.
