IGNATIUS J. LONCAO age 97 of Mt. Morris, died Wednesday July 1, 2015 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mt. Morris. He was born the son of the late Sam and Maggie (Zanghi) Loncao Sr. on June 4, 1918 in Mt. Morris, NY. He had been employed at Craig Colony in Sonyea retiring as a Tinsmith. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Force from 1941-1945 having served during WW II. He was a member and Past Commander of both of the Mt. Morris VFW Post 547 and American Legion Post 354. Ignatius went on The Honor Flight to see the WW II Monument in Washington, DC, of which he felt was a great honor in itself. He was a communicant of St. Patrick's Church where he served as a Usher for many years, a member of the Holy Name Society and had volunteered as a driver for the Mt. Morris Ambulance Service.

He is survived by his 2 Children; Margaret Nichols of Mt. Morris and Susan (Richard) Stutzman of Rochester, 4 Grandchildren; Lisa Ryan of Geneseo, Brian Nichols of Orlando, FL, Shawn (Jennifer) Nichols of Bay Village, Ohio and Nevin (Emilia) Stutzman of Rochester; 7 Great grandchildren; Lindsay and Jack Ryan of Geneseo, Bailey and Sydni Nichols of FL, Josephine and Eloise Nichols of Bay Village, Ohio and Colin Richard Stutzman of Rochester; many nieces and nephews. Besides his Parents he was predeceased by his loving wife Sara (Macaluso) on June 24, 1982. His sister's; Josephine Bartolotti and Anna Ferraro; a brother; Sam Loncao Jr.; a son-in-law; John Nichols on Dec. 15, 2006

Friends may call Sunday from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick's on Monday at 9:30 am. Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery.
