IRENE G. LAYLAND age 90 of Mount Morris, New York formerly of York, died Tuesday September 24, 2024 at her daughters home in Honeoye.  She was born the daughter of Samuel and Ester (Taylor) Bennett on April 20, 1934 in Groveland Station, New York.  She married Raymond Layland.  Prior to her retirement she was employed as a seamstress at Champion Products and Geneseo and Perry.  She enjoyed traveling, bus trip and festivals with her granddaughter Michelle.  She also enjoyed her flower and vegetable gardens and canning.  She was a lover of desserts, especially chocolate and birthday outings. She also loved spending time with her great granddaughter Amelia and Cecilia.  The family would like to thank her aides Laura, Sarah and Bev for all the care and love they gave her.

She is survived by children Debra Layland of Florida, Jessica (Bernard) Wieszczyk of Andover, Bonnie (Steve) Ingerick of Honeoye and Mark Layland of Nunda.  Grandchildren Janelle (Larry) Field, William Ingerick, Bernard Wieszczyk Jr., Paul (Jessica) Wieszczyk, James (Lindsey) Wieszczyk, Nathan Wieszczyk, Michelle (Timothy) Ingerick, Savannah Bauman, Laura (Brad) Lyon, Timothy Layland, Kallie (David) Lohmer and Joseph Layland.  Several Great Grandchildren.  Siblings Richard (Anne) Bennett, Geraldine Harrison, Albert (Elsie) Bennett, Harold (Marilyn) Bennett, William (Sharon) Bennett and David Bennett.  Many nieces and nephews.  She was predeceased by her husband Raymond in 1997, Son James Layland, daughter Mary Layland Bandy, parents Samuel and Ester Bennett, siblings Edward Bennett Sr., Samuel Bennett, Grace Mitchell, John Bennett and Betty Ingalls.

Friends may call Friday October 4 from 9 to 11 am at the JOHN W.
