IRENE M. MEGLIORE age 83 of Mount Morris, New York, died peacefully on Saturday January 21, 2023 at her home.   She was born the daughter of Raymond and Irene Sherman on October 5, 1939 in Ellenburg, New York.  She married Lawrence Megliore on February 11, 1961.  Prior to her retirement in 1996 she was the Director of Nursing at the Livingston County Health Related Facility in Mount Morris for over 25 years.   She was a member of St. Patrick's Church, CSEA, Livingston County Habitat for Humanity, Livingston County Children's Protective Association, Red Hats of Mt. Morris and Warsaw and the Warsaw YMCA.  She loved gardening, reading, traveling especially to local casinos and spending time with her beloved family and grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband of over 61 years Lawrence, 3 children Stephen (Patricia) Megliore of Mt. Morris, Jean (Peter) Vonglis of Avon and Aaron (Cheryl) Megliore of Lake Placid.  10 grandchildren Stephanie, Justin (Liz), Kaitlyn, Sean (Casey Mae), Kaylee (Matt), Bridgette, Colin, Alexis, Paige and Melanie.  2 great grandsons James and Jacob.  Sister Margaret Schmidl of Mt. Morris and Brother Ralph Sherman of Plattsburgh and  sister-in-law Edna Sherman of Plattsburg.  Several nieces, nephews and cousins and many dear and loving friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Raymond and Irene, Sister Dorothy and 2 Brothers Gerald and Ron.

Family will receive family and friends on Saturday January 28, from 9 to 10 am at St. Patrick's Church, 46 Stanley Street, Mount Morris where a funeral mass will be held at 10 am. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Livingston County Children's Protective Association, 23 Pennsylvania Ave. Avon, NY 14414.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
