JAMES S. ARONHALT age 83 of Nunda, New York, died peacefully on Sunday June 9, 2024 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, NY.  He was born the son of John and Gertrude (Hadsel) Aronhalt on August 29, 1940 in Angelica, New York.  He served in the Coast Guard from 1959 to 1963.  Prior to his retirement in 2004 he owned and operated Aronhalt Water Well Drilling in Nunda for over 40 years.  He was a member of the Dalton American Legion Post, Nunda VFW, American Legion in Orlando, Florida and was a member of the Garwoods United Methodist Church.

He is survived by his by son Jared "Jigger" (Connie) Aronhalt of Hunt.  Grandson Jonathon Bailey of Hunt.  Sister Shirley (Richard) Spangler of Hornell and niece Patty Ann (Rosie) Saurbear of Florida.  He was predeceased by his daughter Joanne in 1971 and his parents John and Gertrude Aronhalt, Sister Linda Saurbear and niece Martha Hal.

No prior calling.  Services at the convenience of the family.  Interment at Hunts Hollow Cemetery at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Livingston County Hospice, 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, NY 14510.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
