JAMES D. " Big Jim" "Grandpa Jim" FAGAN SR. at age 91 of 1713 Bush Road, Leicester, New York died Saturday July 28, 2012 at Nicholas Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, NY. He was born the son of Leigh and Elizabeth (McKeown) Fagan on May 20, 1921 in Perry, NY. He married Margaret Willison on December 20, 1942. Prior to his retirement he owned and operated Fagan Farms in Leicester, after selling his farm he worked for Peter Geib Enterprises in Rochester where he helped in the construction of New York International Raceway (Empire Dragstrip) in Leicester, B.R. Dewitt in Pavilion, Sewer Specialty Services in Leicester and Myron Brady Farms in Mount Morris. He was the 2003 town of Leicester Senior Citizen of the Year. He was a former member of the York-Leicester Kiwanis Club, Perry Masonic Temple and the Perry Center Fire Department. His interests included Agriculture, County Fairs throughout Western New York and all forms of Auto Racing having attended several local area and NASCAR tracks and was an avid New York Yankees fan.

He is survived by his 2 sons James D. "Jimmy" (Sharon) Fagan Jr. of Leicester and Charles "Charlie" Fagan of Mt. Morris. 4 Daughters Linda "Hanger" (Myron) Brady of Mt. Morris, Barbara "Bubba" (Greg) Spezzano of York, Donna "Digger" (Ron) Kelch of Caledonia and Nancy "Tid" (Jim) Templeton of York. 14 Grandchildren and 19 Great Grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends. He was predeceased by his wife Margaret (Willison) Fagan in 1999, Son Gary C. Fagan in 1981 and daughter Jayne Anderson in 2007.

Friends may call Tuesday from 2-8 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11 am with Walt Purtell officiating. Interment Leicester Cemetery.
