JAMES L. COCHRANE age 83 of Leicester, New York, died peacefully on Tuesday, September 9, 2025 at the Highlands Living Center in Pittsford, New York. He was born the son of Louis and Gladys (Allen) Cochrane on October 17, 1941 in Rochester, New York. He married Gail Wraight on August 29, 1961. Prior to his retirement he was a teacher at Mount Morris Central School for over 35 Years. He was a member of the National Education Association and former member of the Leicester Presbyterian Church. He was a HAM Radio operator with his call sign on KC2EZL and enjoyed wood working.

He is survived by his devoted wife of over 61 years Gail. 2 Children Lisa Jane O'Connor of Tennessee and James C. "Jamie" Cochrane of East Rochester. 2 Grandchildren Dr. Shannon Abigail O'Connor of North Carolina and Sarah Camlin Gomez of Tennessee. 3 Great Grandchildren Joceylin, Eliana and Camila James Gomez all of Tennessee. Sister Jane (Anthony) LaMena of Horseheads. Nieces, nephews and many dear and loving friends. He was predeceased by his mother Gladys Cochrane in 2004 and father Louis Cochrane in 1988 and son-in-law James E. O'Connor in 2020.

No prior calling. Graveside services will be held on Saturday September 13 at Noon at Leicester Cemetery, Leicester, New York.
