JAMES L. "JIMMY" DODGE Jr. age 86 of Leicester, New York, died peacefully surrounded by his family on Tuesday, May 26, 2020 at his home.  He was born the son of James L. and Magdalena (Spittal) Dodge Sr. on December 10, 1933 in Leicester, New York.  He was a life resident of Leicester where he worked for the Town of Leicester Highway crew until his retirement.  He was a former member of the Leicester Fire Department.  He will also be remembered for his corn stand and selling hay and straw from his home in Leicester.

He is survived by his 7 children Lynn (Amy) Dodge of Livonia, Darlene "De" (Steve Arner) Dodge of Rush, Pinky (Doug) Brice of Rush, Chris (Bill) Flick of Honeoye and Glenn (Laurie) Upright of LeRoy.   Scott (Barb) Dodge of Chili and Jodee (Jeff) Hunter of Washington and their mother Carol Dodge.  7 Grandchildren.  Brother, Jerry Dodge of Leicester and Sister, Harriet Breckinridge of Fairport.  Many nieces, nephews and dear and loving friends including Walter Krueger and Lana and Wayne Scofield.  He was predeceased by his wife, Elaine in 2008 and son, James in 2008.

No prior calling.  A life celebration service will be announced at a later date.  Memorials may be made to Livingston County Hospice, Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, New York 14510.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
