JAMES J. DONEGAN age 64 of 3076 Mt. Morris-Geneseo Road, Mount Morris, NY, died suddenly Sunday May 28, 2017. He was born the son of Robert and Mary Ann (Brady) Donegan on November 18, 1952 in Dansville, NY. Prior to his retirement in 2014 he was employed as a Chemist at ARKEMA Chemicals in Piffard for over 30 years. He was a veteran of the Army. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris.


He is survived by his 3 children Timothy (Bridget) Gavlak of Livonia, James R. (Maggie) and Kyle P. Donegan both of California. 2 Step children Shannon (Andy) Sanderson of Mt. Morris and Jamie (Kori) Wolcott of Rochester. 3 grandchildren Harley Donegan, Trent & Ethan Gavlak. Mother Mary Ann Donegan of Mt. Morris. 2 Brothers Charles (Nadja) & Robert Donegan both of Mt. Morris, 3 sisters Colleen (Butch) Sherner & Anna (Chris) Swanson both of Mt. Morris and June (Brian) Langan of Scotia. Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends. He was predeceased by his Father Robert.


Friends may call Friday from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral mass will be held Saturday at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church.
