JAMES E. HUFFMAN SR. age 78 of 6481 Creek Road, Mount Morris, NY, died suddenly Sunday March 3, 2013 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. He was born the son of Floyd and Marie (Sanderson)Huffman on March 12, 1934 in Dansville, NY. He was a veteran of the Army from 1953 to 1956. He married Carol Forbes on August 3, 1957. Prior to his retirement in 1988 he was employed at Foster Wheeler in Dansville as a Crane Operator and a Welder. He was a lifetime member, past commander and Bar Stewart of the Hally-Allen American Legion Post 1341 in Sonyea, NY. He was a former member of the Dansville Moose Lodge and the Jackson Hose Company of the Dansville Fire Department.

He is survived by his loving wife of nearly 56 years Carol, 6 Children Cheryl (Randall) Wall, James E. (Leah) Huffman Jr., Steven Huffman Sr. and David "Huffy" Huffman all of Mount Morris, Peggy (Shaver) Huffman and Randy Huffman both of Charlotte, NC. 9 Grandchildren Erin Dupont, Sean Wall, Michael and Curtis Shaver, Steven Huffman Jr., Melissa Huffman, James E. Huffman III and twin brother and sister Grace and Nicholas Huffman. 7 Great grandchildren. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends. He was predecease by 7 brothers and sisters.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3 - 7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. Funeral services with Military Honors will be held Thursday at 10 am.
