JANET C. ARONHALT age 81 of Nunda, died peacefully on Sunday October 22, 2023 at her home in Nunda, NY.  She was born the daughter of Richard and Margaret (Brant) Buchinger on April 24, 1942 in Mount Morris, NY. Prior to her retirement in 2002 she was employed as Head of Building and Grounds at the University of Rochester.  She also went on to work as Assistant Manager of the Gift shops as Letchworth State Park for nearly 10 years.  She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Nunda VFW.  She enjoyed bowling, knitting and making crafts and watching her beloved Hummingbirds.

She is survived by her by son Jared (Connie) Aronhalt of Hunt.  Grandson Jonathon Bailey of Wayland.  Sister Pamela (Larry) Cox of South Carolina and Brother Philip (Shirley) Buchinger of North Carolina.  Many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends.  She was predeceased by her daughter Joanne in 1971, parents Richard and Margaret Buchinger, Sisters Josephine Clinton and Laurel Buchinger and Brother Ray Buchinger.

Friends may call Saturday October 28 from 11 am to 1 pm at the JOHN W.
