JEAN ANNE LATONA, age 85, of Mount Morris, died peacefully on Wednesday, October 24, 2018 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester.  Jean was born January 24, 1933 in Mount Morris, a daughter of the late Joseph and Anna (Harrington) Latona.  She was a long-time resident of Mount Morris and a devoted and loving sister and aunt. Jean will always be remembered for her strong faith and love of family.  She cherished every opportunity to be with loved ones and always recognized every birthday, anniversary or special day of her sisters, nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, and all of their spouses.

Jean worked for Dr. Andolina in Mount Morris for several years before serving as an administrative assistant at the University of Rochester for nearly 30 years. Jean was a faithful parishioner and volunteer at St. Patrick's Church for many years.

Jean is survived by her two sisters, Johanne Mortellaro of Batavia and Janet Magee of Poland, Ohio, nieces Lori Wendt and Jennifer (Christopher) Gerace, nephews John (Susanne) Mortellaro, Ted (Troy Baldwin) Mortellaro, James (Carolyn) Mortellaro, Randy Magee, Terry (Becky) Magee, great-nephews Christopher Wendt, Phillip Mortellaro, Stephen Gerace, great-nieces Sophia (Brandon Laws) Mortellaro, Phoebe Mortellaro, Anna Gerace anddear friend Karen (Joe) Brandes. She was predeceased by her parents Joseph and Anna Latona.

Friends may call Monday, November 5, from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at the John W. Martin Funeral Home, 37 Chapel Street, Mount Morris, where prayers will be said Monday at 10:30 a.m. followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at St. Patrick's Church at 11 a.m.  Jean will be laid to rest in St. Patrick's Cemetery.  Memorials may be made to St. Patrick's Cemetery.  Sign the online registry at:  www.johnwmartinfuneralhome.com.
