JERRY WATSON ROLISON age 87 of 151 Main Street, Mount Morris, NY, died suddenly on Monday August 17, 2015 at his home. He was born the son of Harry and Edith (Heliker) Rolison on December 31, 1927 in Mount Morris, NY. He was a life long resident of Mount Morris. He was a World War II and Korean War veteran of the Army. He married Evelyn Chiappone on July 9, 1955. In 1959 he started the Mount Morris Shopper which he has owned and operated for 56 years. He had previously worked for his father at the Picket Line Post in Mount Morris. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church in Mt. Morris, the Mount Morris American Legion Post. He also played Trumpet and Sang Vocals with the various groups including The Dixie Cats and most recently with the Quiet Tones for many years.

He is survived by his loving wife of 60 years Evelyn (Chiappone) Rolison, 4 sons James (Leslie) Rolison of Scarsdale, NY, John Rolison of Leicester, Jeffrey Rolison of Mt. Morris, and Jerry M. Rolison of Rochester. 6 Grandchildren Lindsay (Kevin) Stone, Jessica, Max, Jeffrey II, Justin and Adam Rolison and Great granddaughter Olivia Janet Stone. 1 brother-in-law Dr. Anthony (Betty) Chiappone of Bangor, Maine. He was predeceased by his daughter Janet L. on July 12, 2011.

Friends may call Friday from 4- 8 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris where Prayers will be said on Saturday at 9 am followed by a Funeral Mass at 9:30 in St. Patrick's Church.
