JoAnn M. (Falsone) Burns age 78 of 38 Case Street, Mount Morris, died suddenly Saturday April 11, 2020 at her home.  She was born the daughter of Louis and Minnie (Vianese) Falsone on September 20, 1941 in Dansville, NY. Prior to her retirement in 2007 she was employed as a vocational teacher at Groveland Correctional Facility for over 20 years.  She was a member St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris and the New York State Professional Employee Federation.

She is survived by her partner of over 29 years Norman Parrish.  Son Matthew Girton of Rochester, and Several foster children including David Smith of Kansas.  Her sister Bernice (Pat) Hotchkiss of Mt. Morris.  God son Jerry Hotchkiss and god daughter Jessie Kitcher.  Uncle and Aunts Tony & Edith Vianese of Lima and Marjorie Vianese of Mount Morris.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends.

No prior calling.  Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday September 11 at 10 am at St. Patrick's Church, 46 Stanley Street, Mt.
