JOANNE E. "Jo Jo" BELDEN age 73 of Leicester, New York, died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Thursday August 7, 2024 at her in home.  She was born the daughter of Russell and Nancy (Lowery) Olverd Sr. on August 28, 1950 in Dansville, New York. She married Ronald Belden on September 3, 1983. She owned and operated Joanne's Beauty Shop for nearly 55 years and also was a Bus Driver for Adonnino Brothers and C&F Transportation in Mount Morris for over 28 years.  She was a member of the Calvary Chapel in Perry, New York and a former member of St. Patrick's Church in Mount Morris.  She enjoyed golfing, sewing, crafts, cooking and cheering for the Buffalo Bills.  Joanne will be remembered not only as a bus driver but as a supporter of her students by attending their events and taking an interest in all of them. She will be forever missed by all who knew her.

She is survived by her husband of over 40 years Ronald.  Children Dawn Cuozzo of Fairport, Shawn (Tara) Belden of North Carolina, Stacy (Scott) Hemer and Susan (Russell) Ryan both of Batavia.  Grandchildren Grady and Luke Hemer and Nathan Ryan.  Siblings Gertie (Andrew) Cicero of Florida, Russell Olverd Jr. of Kent, NY, Cheryl (Steve) McDaniel and Debbie (Mike) Henderson both of Texas and Roger (Debbie) Olverd of Groveland.  Several nieces, nephew, cousins and dear and loving friends.  She was predeceased by her parents Russell Sr. and Nancy Olverd.

Friends may call Monday August 12 from 3 – 6 pm at the Valley Oak Event Center, 4242 Lakeville Road (Route 20A), Geneseo, NY where a Celebration of Life Service will be held Monday at 6pm.
