JOANNE M. (CARPENTER) ELYAS age 54 of Mount Morris, NY, died Friday August 11, 2017 at Highland Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born the daughter of Roger and Frances (Pagano) Carpenter on October 14, 1962 in Dansville, NY. She had work at the Honeoye Big M Grocery Store.
No prior calling. Memorial Services will be held on Thursday August 17, at 7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris. In lieu of flowers Memorials may be to ones favorite charity. Sign the online registry at

She is survived by her 4 sons Brian (Toni) Lafferty of Mt. Morris, Craig (Jess Flint) Lafferty of Pike, Chad (Angie Evans) Lafferty of Short Tract and Paul (Nicole) Lafferty of Rochester. Several Grandchildren. Father Roger Carpenter Sr. of Avon. Sister Lisa (Larry Long) Carpenter of Genesee Falls and Roger Carpenter Jr. of Avon. Aunts, uncles and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her mother Frances in 2015 and sister Cory in 2014.
