JOHN N. GILLETTE age 82 of Vero Beach, Florida formerly of Mount Morris, NY, died peacefully on Thursday August 8, 2024 at his home in Florida.  He was born the son of Ernest and Ann Gillette on May 10, 1942 in Hume, NY.  He married Theresa Scorsone of Mount Morris.  Prior to his retirement he was a salesman for Combined Insurance in West Palm Beach, Florida.

Known by his friends as Jack, he was well regarded in his craft as a tradesman in carpet installation in the 1970s and 1980s.  His carpet installation business in the Mt. Morris and surrounding areas still had loyal customers calling & requesting his services up to 10 years after he had moved on from the trade.

He was also very well regarded in the local music community as a gifted guitarist.

He was known by many to incorporate high standards, sincerity and a fantastic sense of humor in all that he did. He was a genuine man that made people feel at ease when around him.
He was predeceased by his wife Theresa in 1995.  He is survived by his 2 sons John M Gillette and Jeff (Lynda) Gillette.  2 granddaughters Chelsea Croston and Norah Gillette.  Several nieces, nephews and dear and loving friends.

No prior calling.  Graveside services will be held on Saturday August 24 at 10 am at St. Patrick's Cemetery, Mount Morris, NY.  Memorials may be made to one's favorite charity.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
