JOSEPH M COLOMBO age 98 of Nunda, New York, died peacefully at his home on Friday July 24, 2026.  He was born the son of Eno and Jennie (Panepinto) Colombo on February 29, 1928 in Portageville, New York. Joe served as a MP in the Korean War.   He was on the Portageville baseball team, and bowled in the leagues at Letchworth Lanes.  He married the love of his life, Millie, on March 13, 1951, and they were together for 70 years.  He worked at Lapp Insulators in LeRoy for many years, retiring in 1993.  Joe and Millie spent winters in Zephyr Hills, Fl, where he was a member of the HOA Board and applied his painting skills to neighbor's driveways.

He was a member of the Nunda VFW, Holy Angels Church in Nunda, and a former member of the Assumption Church in Portageville.  He enjoyed fishing with his friend Charlie Galbraith, helping teachers paint houses in the summer, and watching his grandchildren participate in sports and music concerts.
He was predeceased by his wife Millie in 2021.  He is survived by his 3 children; Debra Edick of Nunda, Dennis (Peggy) Colombo of Pennsylvania and Douglas Colombo of Short Tract, his sister-in-law Jean Colombo, 7 Grandchildren and 3 Great Grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
Friends may call on Wednesday, July 29, 2026 from 10 to 11 am at Holy Angels Church, 45 North Church Street, Nunda, NY with a service immediately following. Interment will be in Assumption Cemetery, Portageville, New York.  In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Nunda Futbol Club and Livingston County Hospice.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
