JOSEPH A. "CUBLER" CAPPADONIA age 94 of 178 South Main Street, Mount Morris, New York, died Tuesday January 10, 2012 at Nicholas H. Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville, New York. He was born the son of Salvatore and Gaetania (DeGregorio) Cappadonia on January 23, 1917 in Mount Morris, New York. A life long resident of Mount Morris he was a veteran of the Army during World War II from 1942 to 1945 where we received the Purple Heart and Bronze Star for his duty in Europe. Prior to his retirement he owned and Operated J.A. Cappadonia & Sons Excavating since 1936 and was the Former Highway Superintendent for the Town of Mount Morris for 10 years. He was a member of St. Patrick's Church, Seymour Chemical Company of the Mount Morris Fire Department, Mt. Morris American Legion and VFW Posts, and Disabled Veterans of American and the Livingston County Highway Superintendent Association.

He is survived by his son James "Jimmy" Cappadonia of Mount Morris. 2 Grandchildren Joseph Cappadonia of Shinglehouse, PA and Keturah Cappadonia of Wellsville, NY. Brother Frank (Ellen) Cappadonia. 3 Sisters Anna Sacco, Josephine Palermo and Sara Lowery. Brother-in-law Joseph Morreale and 2 Sisters-in-law Ruthmary Cappadonia and Josephine Inguaggiato. Several Nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving Friends. He was predeceased by his wife Angie in 2006 and son Sam in 1981, Brother Peter Cappadonia and 2 sisters Fannie D'Anna and Margaret Morreale.

Friends may call Wednesday from 3-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where prayers will be held said on Thursday at 9am followed by a funeral mass at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church. Interment with Military Honor at St. Patrick's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers.
