JOSEPH
F. DIOGUARDI age 86 of 4 Dio Lane, Mount Morris, New York, died on
Monday July 9, 2018
at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born the son of Sarah Noto DioGuardi on April 26,1932 in Mount Morris, NY. He married the love of his life Rose Marie Nasca on January 4,1958. Prior to his retirement as a Mason/Carpenter, owner of Dio Construction in Mount Morris for over 50 years, he was a Veteran of the Korean War from 1950-1952, where he was a Paratrooper in the Army 11th airborne division. He was one of 5,000 men of the armed forces who participated in Exercise Desert Rock at Camp Desert Rock, Nevada. Joe's airborne division from Fort Campbell, Kentucky, became the first troops in history to take part in an atomic maneuver, where the Atomic Bomb was set off in 1951. He was a member of the American Legion and loved doing Sudoku puzzles with his wife and maintaining the beauty of his outdoor surroundings. He loved his family and lived his life devoted to them. He enjoyed his grandchildren and his great grand daughter and Papa will forever be their Rock and Hero.
He was predeceased by his mother Sarah (Noto) DioGuardi in 1989. He was also predeceased by brothers Sam, Patrick, Richard and Carmine DioGuardi & Sister JoAnn Prew. He is survived by his devoted wife of 60 years, Rose Marie DioGuardi, loving Daughters JoAnn(Kevin) Fahey of Mt. Morris, Marcy DioGuardi of Mt. Morris and Susan(Brett) Callahan of Livonia. 5 Grandchildren Kayleigh(James) Regatuso of Honeoye Falls, Joseph(Ale) Fahey of Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Christina Tinculescu of Mt. Morris, Alexander and Andrew Crilly of Livonia and a Great Granddaughter Dumitra Rose DioGuardi of Mt. Morris. His Siblings Anthony (Dorothea) DioGuardi, John (Peggy) DioGuardi, Chuck (Nancy) DioGuardi all of Mt. Morris, Ida (Jerry) Meek of AZ, Sarah (Jim) Quirk of Rochester, Donna Perham of Avon, Anna Sullivan of FL, Julie Brennan of VT, Sharon (Jim) Farrell of Rochester and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Out of respect for Joe's wishes there will be no services. Joe was a humble man with many lives touched by his kindness and generosity. He never wanted his family to suffer but instead wanted us to remember "Life is Good" and to simply cherish the happy memories we have been blessed with.
