JOSEPH R. LAGEORGE JR. age 87 of Mount Morris, NY, died suddenly on Sunday January 23, 2022 at his home.  He was born the son of Joseph and Josephine (Migliore) LaGeorge on April 13, 1934 in Mt. Morris, NY.  He was a lifelong resident of Mount Morris.  He married the former Nina Cichelli on September 11, 1954.  Prior to his retirement he was the manager at West Shurfine in Honeoye having previously worked at Star Market and Bells in several local communities.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Church.  He loved the New York Yankees, New York Giants, attending Mount Morris Blue Devil basketball games and going to Batavia Downs Casino.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years Nina.  3 Children, Joseph LaGeorge of Mt. Morris, Julie (Mark) Ammermuller of New Jersey and Jean (Michael) Murray of Chili.   8 Grandchildren and 9 Great Grandchildren.  Several nieces, nephews and many dear and loving friends.  He was predeceased by his Daughter Janet in 1986 and daughter-in-law Tamy in 2021.

Friends may call Thursday from 4-7 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris.  Funeral Mass will be held Friday at 9:30 am at St. Patrick's Church, Mt. Morris, NY.  Reverend Bernard Dan officiating.   Interment St. Patrick's Cemetery.  In lieu of flowers, Memorials may be made to the American Diabetes Association, 160 Allens Creek Road, Rochester, NY 14618.  Sign the online registry at
