JOSEPHINE "Jay" M. ARGENTA age 91 of Leicester, New York died on Monday February 4, 2013 at the Livingston County Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation in Mount Morris, New York. She was born the daughter of Vincent and Carrie (Ferrara) Macchirella on November 28, 1921 in Yatesboro, Pennsylvania. Prior to her retirement she had been employed at SUNY Geneseo for 23 years and at Folts Diamond Center in Mount Morris for 14 years. She was a member of St. Thomas-Aquinas Church in Leicester.

She is survived by her 5 children Dawn Argenta and Mia (Chris) Kellogg both of Leicester, Joseph J. (Kim) Argenta II of Gates, Mark (Luann) Argenta of Geneseo and Timothy (Kim) Argenta of Stafford. 7 Grandchildren Danielle, Cassandra (Zane), Joe, Lisa, Shane, James & Marshall. 6 Sisters Mary (Dominic) Peraino of Geneseo, Theresa Regoni of Mt. Morris, Sally Marble of Nunda, Angeline Guarino of Rochester, Carmella Palma of Buffalo and Jennie (John) Koch of Lakeville. 2 Sister-in-laws Margaret Accenti and Nancy Argenta. Many Nieces and Nephews. She was predeceased by her husband Joseph in 1986.

Friends may call Saturday from 10 am to 1 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1 pm.
