KIRK D. VAN DORN age 79 of Nunda, New York, died Wednesday January 22, 2025 at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY of injuries from an accident in October. He was born the son of Dwight and Jessie (Gilbride) Van Dorn on March 11, 1945 in Nunda, New York.  Prior to his retirement he owned and operated K.D. Van Dorn Trucking in Nunda for several years.  He also worked with his dad at Van's Building Supplies and ran the Dairy farm in Tuscarora. He enjoyed taking care of the family farm, snowmobiling, riding his motorcycle, hunting and tinkering with projects.  He belonged to the NRA and Oatka Valley Snowmobile Club and former member of the Tuscarora Snow Goers Club.

He is survived by his children Kimberly (Donald Jr.) Cuozzo of Piffard and Stanford Van Dorn of Nunda and their mother Sharon Blazak of Leicester. 4 Grandchildren Morgan (Caleb) Flint of New Hampshire, Thomas Cuozzo of Piffard, Jennifer Van Dorn of Florida and Jessica Van Dorn of New York City.  Brother Lawrence (Judith) Van Dorn of Mendon and Sister Sharon Edwards of North Carolina.  Several nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends.  He was predeceased by his parents Dwight and Jessie Van Dorn and his brother Chan Van Dorn and his sister Marilyn Walker.

Friends may call Saturday February 15th from 1 to 4 pm at the JOHN W. MARTIN FUNERAL HOME, 37 Chapel Street, (Route 408), Mount Morris, New York where services will be held on Sunday Feb. 16th. at 1 pm.  Carmen Vianese officiating.  A reception will be held following graveside services at the A-On-DO-Wa-Nuh Sportsman Club, 4716 River Road, Leicester (Cuylerville), NY.
