LAWRENCE R. "Larry" VALENTINO age 86 of Geneseo, NY formerly of Mount Morris, died Tuesday December 13, 2022 at his home surrounded by his loving family.  He was born the son of Joseph "Brownie" and Nancy (Palermo) Valentino on February 7, 1936 in Mount Morris, NY.  He graduated from Mount Morris Central School in 1954.  He married Rosemarie Yasso on June 4, 1955.  He served in the US army from 1954 to 1957.  Prior to his retirement in 1988 he worked for the New York State Department of Corrections for over 27 years.  He was a member of St. Luke's the Evangelist Parish where he attended mass at St. Lucy's Church in Retsof, CSEA and a former member of the Knights of Columbus.  He loved going on vacations shopping on Amazon and spending time with his beloved grand and great grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of over 67 years Rosemarie "Roie".  2 sons Lawrence "Larry"(Gail) Valentino of West Sparta and Mark Valentino of Geneseo.  5 Grandchildren Mariesa (Brendan), Corey, Courtney, Bethany and Kayla (Josh) Wren and 5 great-grandchildren Madison, Gabriel, Alliyah, Alexa and Archer. 3 sisters Florence Bellon of CA, Gertrude Townsend of New Hampshire and Deborah Valentino of Geneseo.  Many, nieces, nephews, cousins and dear and loving friends.  He was predeceased by his parents Joseph "Brownie" and Nancy Valentino, 2 brothers, Joseph and Sabby, sister-in-law Arlene Valentino and brother-in-law James Townsend.

No prior calling.  Funeral Mass will be held on Monday December 19 at St Lucy's Church in Retsof at 10am.  Interment with military honors at St. Mary's Cemetery, Geneseo, NY.  Memorials may be made to Livingston County Hospice Fund, 2 Murray Hill Drive, Mount Morris, NY 14510.  Arrangements by the JOHN W.
