LISA A. GABY age 53 of 1730 North Street, Dalton, NY, died Friday January 3, 2014 after a courageous battle with Cancer at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester, NY. She was born the of daughter of Dean and Valerie (Spike) Gaby on April 30, 1960 in Hornell, New York. Lisa was a remarkable woman with a heart of gold. She loved helping and caring for others and always gave 110%. She worked as a Supervisor for the American Red Cross for over 20 years and most recently as a Registered Nurse at FF Thompson Hospital in Canandaigua for the last 2 years.

She is survived by her son Alek Gaby, mother Valerie Spike Gaby and brother Kevin (Cheryl) Gaby all of Dalton. Aunt Jean Wirt and 2 uncles Keith and Roger Gaby. Several nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear and loving friends. She was predeceased by her father Dean Gaby. The Family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to all the doctors, nurse and staff at the Palliative Care Unit at Strong Memorial Hospital. A special thanks to Dr. Kent, Dr. Kalia and all the staff at the University of Rochester pain clinic.

A celebration of the Life of Lisa will be held on Saturday January 11, 2014 at 11 am at the Dalton United Methodist Church. In lieu of flowers. Memorials may be made to ones favorite charity.
