Lois May Taylor, 82, of 2625 Barrister Lane, Leicester, New York, died after an extended illness at Highland hospital on December 8, 2015.

She was born at Mrs. Freeman's private hospital on North Center St. in Perry, New York, on January 2, 1933, a daughter of the late Dwight McClurg and Ruth Browne McClurg.

Mrs. Taylor was office manager for the Perry Herald and Shopper for more than thirty years.

She was an accomplished seamstress and she enjoyed crafts, baking, and making things for her daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also an avid bird watcher, with many window feeders full of birds that soothed her in her final days.

Surviving are her daughters, Linda J. Montesano (Jim Sampson) of Canandaigua NY, Pamela J. Taylor of Leicester NY, Barbara T Sciarrino (Raymond) of Leicester NY, and she was predeceased by daughter Rhonda L Eastman.

She has six surviving grandchildren, Jack (Laurie) Montesano, Jeromy (Crissy) Montesano, James (Rebecca) Montesano Johanna (Jeff) Kantrowski, Richard Smith III, B. Taylor Sciarrino, and was predeceased by Jill (Jon) McDermott, and five great grandchildren.

Also surviving are her siblings Betty M. White of Palm Beach Fla, Virginia (Edward) Culver of Sun City AZ, Donald McClurg of LeRoy NY, Coralynn Wood of Perry Center NY, niece Cynthia Taylor Hughes of Silver Springs NY and over 24 surviving nieces and nephews on the McClurg side of her family.

A private memorial service will be held at the families convenience. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetary, Gainesville, New York.
