Loretta Angililli, age 91, passed peacefully at URMC Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville on January 22, 2024. She was born in Nunda NY, the daughter of Erleon David (Ed) and Edna (Drake) Saltsman. Loretta had managed several chronic health conditions for a number of years but two acute bacterial infections in six months were too much for her body to withstand.

Loretta was a hard-working, caring woman who helped so many with compassion and great humor. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and aunt, and took many others under her wing. Loretta was also her own best advocate until the very end.

Loretta began her career as an aide at Craig Colony, and through her hard work, she was asked to attend a Licensed Practical Nurse training program in Staten Island in 1965. Loretta continued to work with people with developmental disabilities in her new LPN role. She then worked many years in that capacity at the Nursing Facility at Murray Hill in Mt. Morris. She had many fond memories of her colleagues and her time working there.

Loretta enjoyed watching the New York Yankees, especially when Derek Jeter was playing, doing complicated puzzle books, and reading detective and legal thrillers. She enjoyed quilting and crocheting.

Loretta was predeceased by husband Domenico Angililli and his daughter Evelyn Lane, Grand-daughter Tammy Lyn Brown, brother Lynn Saltsman, sisters Vivian Zaso, Neola Wilkin and Gladys Saltsman.

She is survived by daughters Annette (Frank) Jester, Barbara Price, Jean Angililli, granddaughters Sandra Jester (Kevin Laursen) Tracy Burkhard (Angel Vargas), grandsons Adam Jester and Justin Price (Courtney Knapp), great grandsons Kameron Burkhard, Maddox and Ryan Price, great granddaughters Molly Price and Alexis Colegrove, many nieces and nephews, and pets who have been sadly awaiting her return.
