Michael R. (Bob) LaDelfa's life story peacefully ended after ninety-two years when he was called to heaven on April 6th, 2022.

Born on July 6, 1929, he was the younger son of Serafine LaDelfa and Mary Lariton LaDelfa.  He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Alida B LaDelfa and children Robbie Wright, Jon LaDelfa (Dianne Bryant), and Lynn (Joe) Muscarella,  He had six grandchildren: Kristin Young, Karyn (Paul) Deagle, Jenna Wright, Kelly LaDelfa, Erin Stoliker, and Stephen (Joy) Muscarella.  In addition, he had four great-grandchildren: Sawyer Young, Stephanie Muscarella, Weston Deagle, and Louis Muscarella. He was predeceased by his brother Richard.

Bob loved his wife, family and many friendships he acquired over his lifetime. Bob was generous man and had a style that drew affection from most everyone who knew him.  Bob had a joke for every occasion and a great talent for telling a good story with impersonations, embellishments, and detail.

Bob helped managed the LaDelfa Hotel in Mt Morris known for hosting several jazz big bands in the late 1940's and 1950's including Gene Krupa and Terry Gibbs.  Like his father, Bob had the entrepreneurial spirit. He was the self-employed owner of a business under the name of the Folts Jewelry Store from 1961 through 1989. While building his business he became an expert in merchandising and a certified gemologist.  After retiring, he worked part time at Wright's Jewelers in Geneseo.

Bob was an avid golfer and was an excellent jazz drummer in his own right and played with several local bands during his lifetime.  He especially loved horses and his three dogs, Spanky, Beau, and Babe.  He was a member of St. Patrick's Church and later, St. Luke the Evangelist Parish throughout his lifetime.
